COLLEGE PARK, MD- The Peacocks struggled against Maryland as they were swept in three sets (13-25, 7-25, 16-25) on Sunday afternoon.
SET ONE-
The struggles began early for the Peacocks as Maryland started with a six-point run at the start of the set.
SPU tried to get back into the game later in the set as they chipped away at the lead, but they couldn't build momentum with the set ending at 13-25.
SET TWO-
In the next set, Maryland piled on the runs as Julia Whaley tried to bring the Peacocks back into the game with two blocks, but it wasn't enough to stop the bleeding, and Maryland won 7-25.
SET THREE-
The final set would start off with Maryland going on a five-point run, with Rodriguez stopping the offense with a kill of her own.
The Diamondbacks would continue to add points on the board as the Peacocks were unable to find an answer for their attack, ending the set at 16-25 and the series at 0-3 in favor of Maryland.
