Peacocks Fall to Brown on Late Game Goal

PROVIDENCE, RI- The Peacocks were defeated by a late-game goal from Brown to break their two-game win streak after a hard-fought battle at Stevenson-Pincince Field.

SPU recorded seven shots, with two of them being on goal, along with two saves by Sebastian Heredia-Randen.

HOW IT HAPPENED

FIRST HALF-

The Peacocks would start off strong in the first half with Shane McCreery getting a shot off bottom center that would be saved by the Bears.

Brown would try to respond with a shot of their own that would go out top and a corner late in the 15th minute.

SPU would try to commit to the counterattack but were ruled offside on three occasions, along with Enrique Mendes subbing on for  Leo Coval to end the first half.

SECOND HALF-

Saint Peter's would start the second half in a similar fashion as Toby Smith shot bottom right, which would then be saved by the Bears.

Brown would go on to shoot again, which would go top on two occasions, both leading to a corner kick in the 68th and 69th minutes.

Davis Barnes would try to ice the game late in the half with a shot that would be saved; Brown would then counterattack, which would lead to a goal to end the game at 0-1.

The Peacocks are off to LaValle Stadium, where they will clash against Stoney Brook on Sep 12th at 2 p.m. E.T.
