CHESTNUT HILL, MA - The Saint Peter's women's basketball squad lost in a tough game at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts on Sunday night. Point guard
Briyanah Richardson led the Peacocks with 18 points,
Anna Maguire was right behind her with 15 points, and forward
Zoe Pero added 14 points on the night.
Game Notes vs. Boston College:
- In the first quarter, the Eagles outscored the Peacocks 23-16 with Richardson leading Saint Peter's with six points in the quarter.
- In the second period, Richardson started the Peacocks off with a two point finish in the paint, but shortly after another lay up from Richardson, the Eagles went on a 10-0 run.
- That run was put to a stop by Anna Maguire's three point basket at the 2:27 mark of the second.
- In the third quarter, the Eagles went on another quick six point run, that was again stopped by Maguire's jumper at the 6:50 mark.
- In the final quarter, Boston College outscored Saint Peter's 21-14 to seal the win.
Inside The Numbers:
- The Peacocks had three players record double digit points against Boston College.
- Richardson had a team high of 18 points for the Peacocks, while also stealing the ball six times, and grabbing four rebounds.
- Maguire had a career day, finishing with 15 points, one steal, and two boards.
- Pero followed right behind Maguire with 14 points and a team high of seven rebounds.
- Pero also had a perfect day at the free throw line, going 6-6.
- Wil'lisha Jackson added eight points and four rebounds for the Peacocks.
