JERSEY CITY, NJ: The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team lost to Fairfield in the home and conference opening match.

- The Peacocks (2-12, 0-1 MAAC) came up short in the first match against Fairfield University.
- The team was swept, falling in three tight sets (20-25) (19-25) (21-25).
