Kendrea Williams and junior men's swimmer
Martin Le Pays du Teilleul have been named Student-Athletes of the Month.
Le Pays du Teilleul shined in a pair of meets last month for the Peacocks, recording five first-place finishes in that span. Against Manhattan, the junior claimed victories in the 500-yard freestyle, the100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle with times of 4:46.37, 53.19, and 1:46.50, respectively. Most recently in the USMMA Invitational, the Saint Brieuc, France, native was victorious in the 200-yard butterfly and the 400-yard IM with times of 1:58.53 and 4:15.14. He also was runner-up in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:58.16.
On the hardwood, Williams has proven to be a major factor for a squad that has won three of its first five games and averages well over 80 points per game thus far. The redshirt junior has started every contest for Saint Peter's and is averaging 15 points per game. The Piscataway native has been lights out from beyond the arc and has knocked down a team-high 18 three-pointers while shooting 48 percent from the field and 45 percent from deep. Williams has scored in double-digits in four games thus far, and has led the Peacocks in scoring in two appearances this season, including a season-high 23 points in a win at Coppin State midway through the month.
