Things to Know Before the Contest
Seeking First Win in Series
  • The Peacocks and Red Storm have met 17 times previously, but have not faced each other in over four decades, last meeting in 1975-76.
  • Saint Peter's has never defeated St. John's, trailing the Big East team 0-17 all-time since first meeting in 1910.
  • This will be the first time a Peacock team visits Queens to play the Red Storm since 1951 --- where the Peacocks are 0-9 all-time against St. John's.

Saint Peter's vs. Big East Conference
  • The Peacocks have struggled against the high-major Big East Conference, holding a combined 32-110 all-time record against the current Big East.
  • The program has wins over four of the 10 conference teams, with victories over Butler (1-0), Georgetown (6-14), Providence (1-4), and Seton Hall (24-64) --- Saint Peter's has never faced Creighton or DePaul.
  • In addition to the Red Storm, Saint Peter's is also winless against Marquette (0-1), Villanova (0-11), and Xavier (0-3).
  • The last win over a Big East team came on Dec. 14, 2013 when the Peacocks knocked off Seton Hall 83-80 in overtime on the road.

Defense Stepping Up
  • Saint Peter's had its best defensive showing of the season against St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, allowing a season-low 59 points.
  • On the season, the Peacocks are holding opponents to the league's second-worst field goal percentage (.395) and three-point field goal percentage (.312) --- only Rider is allowing lower shooting percentages.
  • The defense is also the second best MAAC team when it comes to blocking shots, averaging 4.5 blocked shots per game.

Next Up
  • The men will not be in action for over a week, returning to the Yanitelli Center hardwood on Wednesday, Dec. 11 when the team entertains Fairleigh Dickinson.
