JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's University men's and women's track and field program has released its indoor schedule for the 2019-2020 campaign.
The indoor circuit gets underway this Saturday (Dec. 7), when the Peacocks begin their season at the Yale Season Openers in New Haven, Connecticut. A day later Saint Peter's will be in action as part of a busy season-opening weekend at the Fairleigh Dickinson University-hosted Knights Classic in nearby Hackensack.
After those back-to-back meets, the program will have roughly a one-month respite for final exams and the holidays before returning to action for a busy month of January. The 2020 calendar year will open up with the Great Dane Invitational hosted by Albany at Ocean Breeze in nearby Staten Island on Saturday, Jan. 11, followed a week later by the Ramapo College Opener six days later at the New York City Armory on Friday, Jan. 17.
The Peacocks have two more meets on the docket over the course of the final two weeks of January; Saint Peter's will head to the Bay State for the Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University over the weekend of Jan. 24-25 before closing the month at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships back at Ocean Breeze during the Jan. 31-Feb. 1 weekend.
As the calendar turns to February, the program will compete in the NYRR Millrose Games on Saturday, Feb. 8, back at The Armory in New York City; less than a week later, the Peacocks will head to the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational at the OceanFirst Bank Center on Valentine's Day.
The Peacocks have two postseason meets on the docket starting with the 2020 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, Feb. 21, at the New York Armory, as well as the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships on Friday, March 6, back at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.
