JERSEY CITY, NJ - Danny Ramirez has resigned as head coach of the Saint Peter's baseball program, Director of Athletics,
Bryan Felt has announced. Ramirez will leave his position to pursue other career opportunities. Saint Peter's will now commence a national search for his replacement.
"We are extremely grateful to Coach Ramirez as he has represented Saint Peter's Baseball and our University with the utmost class and grace for the past three years," Felt said. "We are thankful to Danny for his mentorship of our student-athletes and all of his contributions to Saint Peter's, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
"I have enjoyed my time here at Saint Peter's University, but the time has come for me to move in a different direction," said Ramirez. "I move on knowing that the baseball program is in a better place today as compared to when I took over. I want to thank all of those that worked tirelessly alongside me every day in an effort to put smiles on the faces of our Saint Peter's Community. It is a strong community of individuals who really care about its student's wellbeing and overall college experience. I am a better person today through my experience at Saint Peter's and I wish the program much success in the near future. Go Peacocks!"
Ramirez became the first full-time manager of the program in the fall of 2016. During his tenure, he coached 21 MAAC All-Academic student-athletes and one All-MAAC student-athlete.
