MAAC Announces 2019-20 Women’s Basketball Conference Schedule

The Peacocks open league play on the road on January 4

EDISON, NJ - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today the league schedule for the 2019-20 women's basketball season.
 
Saint Peter's will begin its conference slate on the road as they head up to Marist on Saturday, January 4. The Peacocks then return to Jersey City for the home opener against Siena on Monday, January 6, and will remain at home for the following game against Manhattan on Thursday, January 9.
 
The Peacocks head back  to the road as they travel to Connecticut to face-off against the Fairfield Stags on Saturday, January 11, before a return trip to Jersey City on Tuesday, January 14 to take on hOURglass rival Monmouth, right before heading out on a three-game road stretch. 
 
First, the women will travel to New Rochelle to take on Iona on Monday, January 20. The squad then heads to Western New York to play Niagara on Thursday, January 23, followed Canisius on Saturday, January 25.
 
The Peacocks are set to return to the Yanitelli Center for a matchup against defending MAAC Champion, Quinnipiac on Thursday, January 30. 
 
The women will open the month of February with a trip to Manhattan on Saturday, February 1. Saint Peter's will then play back-to-back hOURglass rival games starting with a home meeting with Rider on Thursday, February 6, followed by a trip to Monmouth on Saturday, February 8.
 
The Peacocks will enjoy a four-game home stretch, its longest of the season during the next two weeks. The homestand will start with Niagara on Thursday, February 13, followed by a matchup against Canisius two days later on Saturday, February 15. The next opponent will be Fairfield on Tuesday, February 18, and the final home game of the season will come two days after, as the Peacocks take on Marist on Thursday, February 20. 
 
The Peacocks will wrap up the season's road schedule with three consecutive away games. A trip to Albany to play Siena on Saturday, February 22 will begin the road stretch, followed by a date at Quinnipiac on Thursday, February 27, and lastly a rivalry meeting at Rider on Thursday, March 5. 
 
The regular season culminates on Saturday, March 7 at home against Iona.
 
For the first time in conference history, the Peacocks will be traveling to historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey for the 2020 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship. The MAAC Championship will be held from March 10 through 14.
