Greenberg and Sierck Selected as Saint Peter’s September Student-Athletes of the Month

JERSEY CITY, NJ - Saint Peter's University Athletics has announced that women's soccer freshman Madison Greenberg and men's soccer junior Immanuel Sierck as its September Student-Athletes of the Month.

Madison Greenberg has enjoyed a fantastic start to her freshman season. Through the first three games of the season, the Columbia, Maryland, native has already tallied two goals, both unassisted and both of which have factored into the team's two victories thus far. Greenberg found the twine in her collegiate debut in a 3-1 win over Delaware State on Aug. 23; she then had the lone -- and deciding -- tally in the Peacocks' 1-0 victory against Hampton University this past Wednesday. Through three matches, the rookie leads her squad with two goals and four points, and she also holds a perfect shooting percentage. 

Immanuel Sierck is another first-year Peacock who has made his presence felt early on in the young season. A transfer student-athlete who spent the prior two seasons at Florida Atlantic University,  Sierck scored the game-winning goal against Saint Joseph's University in the season opener this past Friday night on the road, lifting Saint Peter's to a 2-1 win. The goal came off a double assist from freshman Bernhard Bratsberg and senior Frederik Lindqvist, ultimately culminating with Sierck depositing the ball just inside the far post to put the Peacocks ahead for good with 10 minutes remaining. Saint Peter's would go on to post its first-ever win against Saint Joseph's in program history.
