Dear Friend of Saint Peter's Athletics,
Happy New Year! I hope you had an enjoyable holiday season and that your 2020 is off to a great start! As of this week, we are thrilled to welcome our students back to campus for the spring semester. Our men's and women's swimming & diving programs are in the midst of their competitive season and the MAAC basketball season is well underway, with plenty of upcoming opportunities to see the Peacocks in action at home!
Our student-athletes finished the fall semester strong, with a 3.27 term GPA! 10 out of 16 teams had an average team GPA and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, compared to only eight out of 16 in Fall 2018; eight out of 16 teams also increased their team's average GPA from Fall 2018. 158 of our student-athletes had a fall term GPA of 3.0 or higher and 91 of those student-athletes made the Dean's list. We are so proud of the strides we continue to make in the classroom and look forward to a great spring semester!
Last week we hosted our men's basketball alumni reception prior to our men's game against Canisius. We had six decades represented, spanning from the 1950's to the 2000's, and it was great to have a chance to meet some of our former Peacocks and their families. We will host a women's basketball alumni reception on Sunday, February 15
th before our 2 p.m. women's game against Canisius – registration for this free event is now open

Also coming up in February, we will host our First Pitch Luncheon and our Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The First Pitch Luncheon will take place on Sunday, February 9
th to support our baseball program. Head Baseball Coach

The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, February 23
rd, and will take place prior to our men's basketball game against Rider. The Hall of Fame class of 2020 includes three former student-athletes, the 2007 men's soccer team and two honorary individuals. This is a tremendous group of individuals with many great stories to share, and we look forward to immortalizing them alongside so many great contributors to Saint Peter's Athletics.
