EDISON, NJ – Seven student-athletes from the Saint Peter's University outdoor track and field teams have been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team, released by the conference office today.
The MAAC honored a total of 260 student-athletes to the 2020 Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Teams across the conference, with Saint Peter's boasting four individuals to the women's squad and three on the men's side.
The quartet of women's all-academic honorees included junior sprinter/mid-distance runner
Lovely Francois (sport management major), junior mid-distance runner
Grace Proctor (health physical education major), sophomore mid-distance runner
Maleny Cajamarca (accounting major) and sophomore jumper
Iria Paz (pre-elementary education major).
The trio of men's all-academic recipients were senior hurdler
Joshua Okaro (finance major), junior javelin thrower
Daniel Lodato (criminal justice major) and sophomore jumper/sprinter
Daniel Jn-Baptiste (computer science major).
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
