EDISON, NJ – Saint Peter's University had a total of 161 student-athletes named to the 2019-20 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll for their academic achievements, announced by the league today. The mark is the highest for the program since placing 119 student-athletes on the team following the 2011-12 academic year.
A conference-record 2,722 student-athletes were named to the 2019-20 MAAC Academic Honor Roll and an additional 90 Esports student-athletes were honored as well. Since the 2006-07 season, the total number of student-athletes named to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll has increased every year. Esports were recognized as an official MAAC Club Sport this past year, holding championships in four gaming titles in an online format after the cancellation of the on-site championships in Atlantic City, New Jersey. To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members in the MAAC. All sports that the conference sponsors are represented.
