Andrew Sahawneh Tabbed Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Engagement

JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Andrew Sahawneh is joining the Saint Peter's University Athletics staff as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Engagement, Director of Athletics Rachelle Paul announced today.

"We're delighted to welcome Andrew to our staff," Paul said. "His experience, especially at a fellow Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference institution, will be valuable to our programs. We can't wait to see what he'll bring to the table for Peacock Nation."

Sahawneh arrives in Jersey City by way of fellow MAAC member Marist, where he has spent two years in a marketing and external affairs role in the athletics department. 

Within his first year with the Red Foxes, he earned a promotion to assistant director of external affairs; among his duties, he oversaw game presentation for football and basketball games, assisted with strategic marketing efforts, managed athletics retail and promoted upcoming games and events with the ticketing department.

A native of Poughkeepsie, New York., Sahawneh also attended Marist and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2019. He worked as a student assistant with athletics facilities and was a four-year practice player with the Red Foxes women's basketball team.
