JERSEY CITY, NJ - Senior midfielder Jamie Davis from the Saint Peter's University men's soccer team finished tied third in NCAA Division I for total assists this season. Davis racked up 12 assists on the season, trailing only the leader by three. He finished second in the country in assists per game, averaging .71 per game.
Davis put up numbers that had only been done twice before in Saint Peter's history. Rinaldo Chambers tallied 16 assists during the 2003 season, while Lee Nicola assisted 12 times in the 1980 season. Davis has the second most career assists at Saint Peter's with 24 trailing only Nicola by five as Nicola put up 29 in his career.
En route to Davis' historical season, he had four games in which he had multiple assists. Those games were at Providence on August 29, versus Sacred Heart on September 18, versus Fairfield on September 29, and versus Quinnipiac on November 3. Davis also scored three goals on the season.
