JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's soccer freshman
Toby Smith has been named Metro Conference (METRO) Men's soccer rookie of the week after his impressive match against Canisius.
On Friday against Manhattan, Smith had one shot on goal to keep SPU in the game, but Saturday afternoon Smith showed up to help pull the Peacocks ahead early in their match against the Griffins, where he would record three shots on goal, with two of them finding the back of the net to help SPU pull ahead.
Smith is set to play against Sacred Heart on Wednesday at 7 p.m. as he looks to help give the Peacocks another win as they continue their push for the playoffs.
