First Pitch
- The Saint Peter's University baseball team opens the 2021 slate this weekend with a series against Fairfield University.
- Due to impending inclement weather on Sunday, the teams have agreed to a site swap, shifting Sunday's doubleheader in Jersey City to Friday in Fairfield.
- The teams will now play on Friday (Mar. 26) beginning at 11:30am and then the sides will meet in Jersey City for a doubleheader on Saturday (Mar. 27) with first pitch set for 12pm.
- Saint Peter's comes into the new campaign following a shortened 2020 season due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
- During the condensed 2020, the Peacocks snagged an upset win over Rutgers, the first victory over a Power Five Conference team for the program ever.
- The program is seeking its first season opening win since 2016, when that Peacock team knocked off Maryland Eastern Shore, 10-8 during a four-game series in Richmond, VA.
- Fairfield enters the series a perfect 4-0 overall and in conference play this season, following a series sweep of Canisius.

- 12 student-athletes join Saint Peter's roster in 2021 led by six pitchers, five position players, and one utility.
- The pitchers coming to Jersey City are: Alec Schmitz, Kyle Mahady, Brighton Taylor, James Ferriero, Michael Bonaccorso, and Robert Black III.
- Position player additions will be: Parker Gray, Jake Wagner, Anthony Abbatine, Cristian Perez, and Brad Barkema.
- Serving as a utility player (both a pitcher and fielder) is Matthew Dubois.
