EDISON, NJ – Saint Peter's University baseball rising sophomore,
Cristian Perez, has been named to the Hudson Valley Collegiate Baseball League (HVCBL) 2021 All League First Team, announced by the HVCBL.
Perez, who played for our NY Gothams Collegiate team this past summer, was selected to the All HVCBL team as a first baseman. In 24 HVCBL league games, he hit .319 (22 for 69) at the plate and drove in 13 RBIs. Overall, Perez recorded a batting average of .333 (40 for 120) in 45 games with eight doubles, one homerun, 28 RBIs, 17 runs scored, and a .826 OPS.

About the Hudson Valley Collegiate Baseball League:
The Hudson Valley Collegiate Baseball League (HVCBL) was formed in the Spring of 1996 (then known as The Collegiate Baseball League) by two residents of Orange County, NY; Tim Croker and Jim Bisaccia. Their intention being to provide collegiate, and some of the better high school aged ballplayers the opportunity to improve their game and showcase their talents in a league designed to attract college coaches, as well as professional scouts. The HVCBL is comprised of teams from the Hudson Valley area of New York, Southern CT and PA. Games are played from June through the second week of August.
