JERSEY CITY, NJ - A men's track and field athlete and a women's basketball player have been named Saint Peter's University Athletics Peacocks of the Month for December, as junior Michael Conover and graduate Kendrea Williams have earned the fourth monthly Peacock award for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Conover had a solid outing in the Peacocks only meet of the month. At the TCNJ Winter Open on December 4, he captured the victory in the 1000 with a time of 2:34.21. This now stands as his collegiate best time in this event. Conover next races on January 14 at the MLK Relays.

Williams scored her 2000th career point this past month, doing so against Canisius on December 19th. She played a major role in helping the Peacocks sweep the Buffalo road trip for the first time since 2002, as she set multiple season highs against Canisius. Williams won back-to-back MAAC Player of the Week awards this month, as she was given the honor on December 20th and December 27th. She was named the MET Basketball Writers Association Division I Player of the Week on December 21. Williams was also named to the NCAA Starting Five Team of the Week on December 22. She recorded a career high six steals against FDU on December 22.
