Piccinic Paces Peacocks at 2022 MAAC XC Championships

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Saint Peter's University Cross Country finished up the regular season as they participated in the 2022 MAAC XC Championships. The women raced in a 6K while the men raced in an 8K.

Race Highlights

• Shelby Piccinic led the way for the women's team with a stellar placement of 56th out of 123 runners. Piccinic took almost an entire minute off of her time from the Peacocks last race to today, finishing with a time of 23:45.40. That time was good for a pace of 6:23

• Kaylah Davis followed Piccinic on the Peacock leaderboard in 123th place with a time of 28:14.1. Davis shaved an entire two minutes off of her time from two weeks ago at the ECAC/IC4A's. This time was good for a pace of 7:35.

• Diamond McLaughlin (29:01.7, pace of 7:48) and Karilyn Jimenez (30:24.3, pace of 8:10) rounded out the leaderboard for the Peacock women. 

• The women finished in 11th place overall with 335 points.
   

• Gerardo Quaglia paced the Peacocks on this day for the men's 8K, finishing with a time of 28:45.4. This was good for a pace of 5:48.

• Michael Conover was second on the leaderboard for the Peacocks, finishing with a time of 29:20.1. This was good for a pace of 5:55.

• Three Peacocks rounded out the day for the men in Brendan Heaney (29:34.4, pace of 5:57), David Szaro (30:31.9, pace of 6:09), and Devon Bembridge (31:15.8, pace of 6:18). 

• The men finished in 11th place overall with 344 points.
