STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Saint Peter's men's and women's track and field teams returned to action on Friday in the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational. The teams were less than a week removed from capturing four overall medals at the 2021-22 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Indoor Championships.

Diamond McLaughlin was stellar once again for the Peacocks, taking first place in the 500 meter with a time of 1:16.92. This time now stands as not only her collegiate best, but the best time for Saint Peter's on the women's side in the event this season.

Abigail Vital qualified for the finals in the 60 Meter Hurdles, finishing in 9th place with a time of 9.02.

Dylan Powell was just shy of a top three finish in the weight throw, taking fourth place with a distance of 16.31m.

In the 1000 Meter, Michael Conover grabbed a top-five finish with a time of 2:30.06. This time now stands as not only his collegiate best, but the best time for Saint Peter's on the men's side in the event this season.

Delano Gooden performed in the 200 Meter, claiming eighth place with a time of 22.48.

Fiyin Amori participated in the Long Jump, taking a top-10 finish. He finished in ninth place with a time of 6.52m.
Up Next
The Peacocks will finish the indoor portion of the season when those that qualified participate in the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships from March 4th-6th. The event takes place in Boston, MA at the Track and Tennis Center.
