WILLIAMSBURG, V.A. - The Saint Peter's University track & field teams returned to action for their second meet of the outdoor season over the course of Friday and Saturday at the Colonial Relays. The Peacocks' day proved successful, as they were able to capture multiple top-10 finishes and two IC4A/ECAC qualifying marks.
Top Performances: Men

The keynote of the two day event on the men's side was provided by the 4x400 relay team. Jarrett Gentles, Quincy Hendy, Clardo Nestor, and Isaiah Sanchez combined to take second place in the event with a time of 3:14.80. This time was just one second off of the school record, but did provide the relay team with an IC4A/ECAC qualifying time.

Clardo Nestor shined once again, this time in the 800 Meters. He captured second place with a time of 1:54.23, which was just two seconds off of his collegiate best. He was joined by teammate Michael Conover, who finished just one spot behind in third place with a time of 1:54.51.

A busy day for Nestor continued, as he also competed in the 400 Meters, taking ninth place with a time of 48.93. This now stands as his collegiate best time in the event. Isaiah Sanchez (28th, 50.31) and Hensley Jean-Baptiste (47th, 52.23) also competed in the event.

Val Augustin continued his strong performances in the hurdles this season, claiming fourth place in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 14.99. This time is now a collegiate best for him in the event. Augustin also set a collegiate best time in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 56.48.

For the first time since the MAAC Outdoor Championships a year ago, Dylan Powell competed in the Hammer Throw. The rust seemed non-existent, as he grabbed fourth place and a new collegiate best in the event with a distance of 47.83m.
Top Performances: Women

The keynote of the two day event on the women's side was provided by Diamond McLaughlin. The freshman continues to shine, taking third place in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:02.45. Not only was this a collegiate best mark for her, but it was also an IC4A/ECAC qualifying time. Abigail Vital also had a strong showing in the event, taking seventh place with a time of 1:04.10.

Vital also competed in the 100 Hurdles, finishing in sixth place with a time of 14.97. She was joined in the event by teammates Mikell Dolo (12th, 15.62) and Alexus Smith (13th, 15.74).

In the field events, Janai Orders and Iria Paz competed in the Triple Jump. Orders placed 25th with a distance of 10.48m and Paz placed 31st with a distance of 10.10m.

The Peacocks will next compete over the span of two days at the Metropolitan Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The event takes place from April 8th-9th at Icahn Stadium in New York, NY.
