WILLIAMSBURG, V.A. - The Saint Peter's University track & field teams closed out the 2022 season at the ECAC/IC4A's over the weekend. Medals, personal bests, and school records were the themes of the weekend, as the Peacocks returned to Jersey City with multiple of all of the above.
How It Happened
-
The keynote of the weekend was provided by the men's 4x400 relay team of Isaiah Sanchez, Clardo Nestor, Michael Conover, and Quincy Hendy. They obliterated the school record that has stood since 2012, running a 3:10.88. Not only did this set a new school record, but the time also gave them the gold medal in the event as the IC4A 4x400 champions.
-
Dylan Powell started the weekend on a high note for the Peacocks on Friday, breaking a school record that has stood since 2013. He placed 9th overall in the Hammer Throw with a distance of 51.60m, which is also now a personal collegiate best for Powell in the event.
-
Val Augustin qualified for the finals in the 110m Hurdles. He finished the finals in fifth place with a new personal collegiate best time of 14.69.
