JERSEY CITY, NJ (May 24, 2022) - The Saint Peter's University athletic department has named Jacob Glickenhaus as its new Assistant Athletics Director for Equipment and Recreation Services, joining the Peacocks after spending the last year at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Jacob into the Peacock Athletics family," Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations Cameron Harty said. "Jacob possesses a wealth of experience that will be very valuable to our programs. His responsibilities at the University of Minnesota-Duluth as well as Reno, will benefit our athletic department and equipment/rec operations as a whole."
Glickenhaus will be responsible for purchasing, maintenance and distribution of all equipment for varsity athletic programs. The position manages the daily operations of the equipment room, including maintaining inventory, and supervises student staff. He is also responsible for oversight of the RLC Fitness Center.
At UMD, Glickenhaus served as the women's hockey equipment manager and was on staff for the Bulldogs remarkable run to the Frozen Four and NCAA National Championship game.
Prior to his time with the Bulldogs, Glickenhaus was a Clubhouse Manager Assistant for the Reno Aces, a AAA affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, for the 2021 season.
Glickenhaus also has served as a clubhouse manager intern for the Duluth Huskies and is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
Glickenhaus graduated in May of 2021 from Castleton University in Vermont where he achieved his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. While at Castleton, Glickenhaus served as an equipment manager for the men's ice hockey team.
