Dear Friends of Saint Peter's University Athletics,
I hope your summer is off to a wonderful start! I truly can't believe how fast this past academic year has come and gone, but we'll be back in action before you know it, so I hope you are taking advantage of a little downtime so that when we see you again in just a few short months, you're re-energized and ready to go for the 2022-23 academic year!
Before the calendar turned to June, we bid farewell to our graduates and celebrated this year's Commencement at the PNC Bank Arts Center. While the day itself is always bittersweet in that we are seeing a number of our student-athletes for the final time representing Saint Peter's University, our hearts were full as we watched all of our amazing Peacocks cross the stage on that wonderful afternoon. So many of our student-athletes earned special recognition and were the recipients of many prestigious accolades, and I know I speak on behalf of our entire department in saying that we are so, so proud of you. I can't thank you all enough for your hard work and dedication to your programs and to the department over your time here in Jersey City. We will miss you so much! Best of luck and just remember, once a Peacock, always a Peacock!
I'd also like to thank all of the fans, supporters, sponsors, and members of Peacock Nation who attended and participated in the 2022 William J. & John Murray Peacock Athletics Golf Outing this past Monday! The proceeds from this important philanthropic event all go toward enhancing the experience of all Peacock student-athletes. It was an amazing day filled with great golf, weather, giveaways, food, and more. We truly appreciate all who made the occasion so special, and I look forward to an even better outing next summer! As always, we're working hard to provide the best experience possible for our student-athletes, fans, and supporters. I am excited to announce that we have partnered with Hometown Tickets as our official ticket platform going forward, and we will be selling tickets for all Peacocks Basketball games online moving forward. Stay tuned for more information on season tickets for the 2022-23 basketball seasons!
In closing: the 2021-22 academic year was truly special, one that won't be forgotten by any of us any time soon. Our student-athletes were put on the map and inspired so many others across the country to become part of Peacock Nation. The Saint Peter's University Athletics community is growing, and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon!
