JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team lost to Monmouth University 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon. Senior forward Jazmin Brown scored the lone goal for the Peacocks. Freshman forward Taylor Moyer and graduate midfielder Skyler Owens provided the assists.
Game Notes
- The Hawks blitzed the Peacocks early, scoring in both the fourth and fifth minutes to take a 2-0 lead.
- Brown tested the Monmouth keeper from distance in the 31st minute, but her attempt was saved.
- The Hawks scored again in the 35th minute. The score was 3-0 at the half.
- Saint Peter's turned things around to start the second half, as Brown headed in her first goal of the season in the 52nd minute to trim the deficit.
- In the 77th minute, freshman forward Alyssa Hackett came close to netting another goal for the Peacocks, but her attempt went just wide.
- Monmouth added another goal in the 85th minute. The score would finish 4-1.
