JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's men's basketball team (3-4, 2-0 MAAC) takes on Duquesne (6-2, 0-0 A10) at the UPMC Center in Pittsburgh on Friday, Dec. 7. The Peacocks look to extend their win-streak to three.
Overview
Last weekend, the Peacocks started conference play 2-0 with a 71-67 win over Niagara on Friday, Dec. 1st, and a 54-52 win at Canisius on Sunday, Dec. 3. This marked the first time since 2009-2010 SPU swept Niagara and Canisius on its Buffalo trip. Michael Houge leads the Peacocks with 12.7 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game this season. SPU's bench has outscored its opponents' bench 187-86 this season. Additionally, the Peacocks are currently second in the MAAC in defense (64.0 points per game).
Duquesne is coming off an 85-72 win at Marshall on Wednesday, Dec. 6. The Dukes are led by Dae Dae Grant (19 points per game) and Jimmy Clark III (17 points per game). Grant has scored in double figures in every game this season for the Dukes. Duquesne ranks third as a team in the A10 conference in with 78.5 points per game.
