BALTIMORE, MD. - The Saint Peter's Track & Field team traveled to Hughes Memorial Stadium for the Morgan State Legacy Meet over the weekend.
Cashieve Blair set a new school record in the Men's 400-Meters event. Blair finished the event in 47.53 and placed fourth overall.
Blair broke his own school record. The SPU sophomore set a conference record in the 400M at the 2023 Outdoor MAAC Championships (47.58).
Additionally, Blair placed seventh in the 200m (21.3).
Ciara Brown set a new personal best in the Women's Shot Put event. Brown recorded a distance of 12.53m and placed seventh overall. Delano Gooden placed ninth in the Men's 100m at 10:59. Gooden was .08 seconds off from breaking his own school record in the 100m.
The men's 4X400m relay team of Blair, Gooden, Clardo Nestory, and Connor Ziolkowski placed second overall in the event (3:15.92). In the Women's 4X400m race, Diamond McLaughlin, Abigail Vital, Alexus Smith, and Mikayla Surles finished in 4:01.01, and placed third.
Oluwamumisorire Amori set a new personal best in the Men's Long Jump (7.04m).

Next weekend the Saint Peter's Track & Field team will compete at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA. Hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, the meet will take place from Friday, Apr. 26 - Saturday, Apr. 27.
