JERSEY CITY, NJ– After a week long break, the Saint Peter's women's soccer team (5-8-3, 2-7-1) hits the road for its final MAAC away match of the season, traveling to Buffalo, N.Y., to face Canisius on Saturday, October 25, at the Demske Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+.

Mayla McLean's early tally proved to be the difference, as
Joana Dias found the freshman in stride for a composed finish low into the right panel. The goal marked McLean's second of the season, while Dias recorded her third assist–a career high for the senior–bringing her to 11 points in MAAC play, just one shy of matching her career-best 12 points from last season.
Emma Lopes notched her second career shutout, facing eight shots and recording three saves.
ABOUT THE GRIFFINS
Canisius (5-8-1, 5-4-1) enters their final home game following a split week–ending a four-match skid with a 1-0 win over Mount St. Mary's before falling 2–0 to Marist. The Griffs are 1-4-1 in October, scoring three goals while conceding nine.
Junior Jessica Whitaker leads the attack with four goals and two assists, though she has not registered a point this month. In net, freshman Chloe Tseros has started all 14 matches, posting a 1.71 goals-against average, .727 save percentage, and 4.93 saves per game—ranking seventh, eighth, and fifth in the conference.
The Griffs are led by third-year head coach Ryan Louis.

Quinnipiac (6-3-5, 6-0-4) sits second after back-to-back victories, followed by Sacred Heart (8-7-1, 7-4) in third and Marist (6-6-4, 5-1-4) in fourth. Canisius and Manhattan (6-5-5, 5-4-1) round out the top six.
