JERSEY CITY - N.J. The Saint Peter's men's golf team is ready to hop out onto the green again in the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championships on Monday Oct. 27 and Tuesday Oct. 28. The Peacocks are coming off a strong, if ultimately disappointing result at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational earlier this month. However, despite the result, there were some genuine high points from the Peacocks. In particular senior
Shiv Manhas and sophomore
Jack Hennelly as they both found themselves in the top 50 overall. With Manhas placing 20th and Hennelly placing 42nd.
""We are excited going into the last tournament of the fall season. All of our guys are playing really good golf right so I think we are poised for a strong tournament" head coach
Dr. Jim Stefankiewicz when asked about the tournament. "All of our golfers are participating this week. We have seen steady progress all season. I'm looking forward to seeing what the boys will do."
The Peacocks will return to the golf course after the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championships in March with the three day tournament at the Carpetbagger Classic hosted by Binghamton and Colgate College.
