WASHINGTON, D.C.- I the Saint Peter's Peacock baseball team fell to Georgetown in their doubleheader at Capital One Park
Despite the Peacocks showed improvement throughout the day with Aidan Forrest scoring a run in the 5th inning and Alex Manent hitting a home run to left center in the 6th, in addition to RJ Azarieh sending a home run to right center of the first game of the series.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Peacocks trailed early in the first inning by 8 runs, but answered back with 3 runs between the 5th and 6th innings
Ultimately ending in a 3-13 defeat to Georgetown in the first game of the doubleheader.
In Game 2, the Peacocks continued to battle with Georgetown, leaving them without any runs in the first inning.
Chase Fogg hit a home run, adding an RBI to his line with Jace Gilligan advancing to home plate in the top of the second inning. Georgetown replied with a run at the bottom of the second.
Georgetown went ahead to have two more runs in the 3rd and one more in the 5th inning for a total of 4 runs
Both The Peacocks and Georgetown will go runless for the rest of the game, ending in a 2-4 deficit against Georgetown
