JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Lucas Scroggins of the Saint Peter's men's basketball team was named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, CSC announced on Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District men's basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible, as well as play in 90 percent of the team's games or start in 66 percent of the team's games.
Scroggins made a huge impact in his first season with the Peacocks after coming to Jersey City from Valparaiso in Fall 2025. Once settling into his new role, he began to be a problem for opposing teams on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Scroggins played in 27 games this season, averaging 5.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per night. He recorded three double-doubles (points-rebounds) and had four games with at least three blocks. Scroggins' best performance of the season came against Merrimack on Jan. 24 when he totaled 12 points, 14 boards, one block and two steals.
