JERSEY CITY, NJ– The Saint Peter's softball team (4-19, 1-10 MAAC) returns home for back-to-back homestands, beginning with a doubleheader against Hofstra on Tuesday, March 31, before hosting MAAC opponent Canisius for a three-game series April 3–4.
All games will be played at Jaroschak Field. Tuesday's doubleheader begins at 1 p.m., with game two scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday's MAAC twin bill starts at 12 p.m., followed by game two at 2 p.m. The series concludes Saturday at noon.
All games will be streamed on the Peacock Digital Network.
LAST TIME OUT
The Peacocks struggled on both sides of the field last week, allowing a combined 50 runs across seven games while scoring 13.
Despite the results,
Hannah Klotz put together an impressive week at the plate, going 10-for-20 while recording at least one hit in every game, including three consecutive multi-hit performances.

Morgan Lipansky remained steady, making three starts and allowing 10 earned runs on 17 hits while striking out 11 batters across 15.2 innings pitched.
ABOUT THE PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's enters the week looking to snap a seven-game skid. The Peacocks currently have five players batting above .300, led by
Summer Solitaria, who paces the offense with a .389 batting average. Solitaria also holds a team-high .389 average in MAAC play.
Hannah Klotz enters the week riding a seven-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in each of those contests.

Morgan Lipansky leads the pitching staff with a 5.07 ERA across 48.1 innings pitched this season and holds a 5.25 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP against conference opponents.
ABOUT THE PRIDE
Hofstra (16-14) closed February with a 3-8 record after competing in three tournaments, finishing 0-5 at the FGCU Eagle Invitational, 1-2 at the George Mason Tournament, and 2-2 at the Lake Side Book Company Invitational.
March has been a different story for the Pride, who sit at 13-6 during the month after sweeping Stony Brook, Hampton, and Drexel, taking two of three games from Monmouth, splitting with Sacred Heart and CCSU, and falling to Yale.
Senior infielder Alanna Morse leads Hofstra offensively, batting .386 with a 1.104 OPS through 30 starts. She has totaled 39 hits, 20 RBIs, and 14 extra-base hits this season.
In the circle, senior Emma Falen (7-7) leads the pitching staff with a 2.74 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 76.2 innings pitched while holding opposing batters to a .262 average.
Head coach Susan Cassidy-Lyke Hurlman is in her first season leading the Pride.
ABOUT THE GRIFFS
Canisius (6-17, 2-7 MAAC) finished February with a 4-4 record after competing in two tournaments, posting a 3-1 mark at the UT Chattanooga Challenge and going 1-3 at the UNCG Invitational.
The Griffs have recorded two wins in March, taking the second game of conference series against Sacred Heart and Fairfield. Canisius was swept by Merrimack, Siena, and Buffalo before snapping a 10-game skid with a 7-5 victory over Fairfield.
The Griffs will host St. Bonaventure in a midweek matchup on Wednesday before traveling to Jersey City.
Junior outfielder Ela Johel leads the offense with a .373 batting average and a 1.096 OPS through 23 games, totaling 25 hits, nine extra-base hits, and 11 RBIs.
In the circle, junior Olivia Manchester (2-4) leads the pitching staff with a 3.45 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 44.2 innings pitched while recording 36 strikeouts.
Head coach Joe Gierlak is in his first season with the program.
ALL TIME SERIES
Saint Peter's is still searching for its first win against Hofstra and sits 0-4 in the all-time series. The most recent meeting came last season, when the Peacocks fell 11-8.
Angelina Wagner recorded her first career home run in the contest.
The Peacocks are 12-53 all-time against Canisius. The Griffs have won the last 10 meetings dating back to 2019. Saint Peter's last victory in the series came in 2019, a 7-4 win.
AROUND THE MAAC
Marist leads the MAAC standings with a 9-1 conference record, followed by Quinnipiac at 12-3 overall in league play. Siena and Sacred Heart are tied for third at 8-3, with both programs currently riding multi-game win streaks. Rider sits at 7-4, while Fairfield and Mount St. Mary's round out the top six at 6-4.
This weekend's MAAC matchups include Manhattan vs. Quinnipiac, Canisius vs. Saint Peter's, Niagara vs. Mount St. Mary's, Rider vs. Siena, Marist vs. Iona, and Merrimack vs. Sacred Heart.
