EDISON, NJ– After another dominant performance at the Rutgers Relays, senior sprinter
Cashieve Blair has been named the Jersey Mike's MAAC Track Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Cashieve Blair becomes the first Peacock in program history to earn three consecutive MAAC weekly honors, and the first conference track athlete to accomplish the feat.
Blair continued his dominant outdoor season at the Rutgers Relays, capturing a pair of gold medals while breaking two Saint Peter's school records. He paced both programs with the only individual event victories of the weekend.
Blair opened with a historic performance in the 400m, snapping a 45-year-old school record and becoming the first Peacock in program history to dip under 47 seconds with a time of 46.81, finishing more than a second ahead of the field. The mark ranks No. 97 on AthleticNET's 2026 Division I Top 100 list.
He followed with another record-breaking run in the 200m, clocking a program-record 20.74 and shaving 0.24 seconds off the record he set earlier this season. Blair finished nearly half a second ahead of the field, ranking No. 25 on AthleticNET's 2026 Division I Top 100 list.
Blair currently ranks first in the MAAC in both the 200m and 400m, first and second in the Metropolitan area, and among the top performers in the NCAA East Region, including No. 24 in the 200m and No. 47 on the NCAA Division I Outdoor Qualifying List (TFRRS).
Blair and the Peacocks now turn their attention to the 2026 Outdoor ECAC/IC4A Championships, hosted by Rutgers University at the Bauer Track and Field Complex, April 18-19.
