Peacocks Look to Keep The Momentum After First Conference Win

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - With the Peacocks grabbing their first conference win against Siena this past weekend, they look to continue the momentum.
Saint Peter's starts their week away at Mike Sheppard, Sr Stadium to face Seton Hall for a one-game turnaround on Tuesday, May 5th at 4 p.m. Then they are back at Jaroshak Field for a three-game home stand against conference opponents Merrimack, starting on Friday, May 8th at 3 p.m.
ABOUT SETON HALL-
SPU looks to grab a road win over the Big East opponent as they head to Seton Hall on Tuesday, with Seton Hall holding a 16-4 win advantage over the Peacocks, with Seton Hall having a 11 wins straight.
In their last meeting in March of last year, it was a defensive showing for both teams, with Saint Peter's first run coming in the fourth inning, followed by the Pirates answering back with their first run. Both teams would struggle at bat, with Seton Hall adding two more runs in the bottom of the fifth.
The Peacocks would add two more runs in the eighth with Seton Hall answering back with a run of their own to take the lead and then hold Saint Peter's to zero runs in the ninth inning to close out the game as a 3-4 loss for SPU.
Saint Peter's is looking to change the script as they head over to South Orange. After that, they are back home for the weekend to face Merrimack.
ABOUT MERRIMACK-
The Peacocks look to grab some much-needed conference wins going into the weekend as they face Merrimack.
Merrimack has a one game advantage over the Peacocks from the last three meetings they had with their most recent game in April of last year being a back-and-forth with the Peacocks taking a narrow 7-6 victory over the Warriors.
The Warriors would open the box score with two runs in the first inning, with the Peacocks answering back  with seven unanswered runs between the second and sixth inning. Merrimack would try to mount a comeback with four runs of their own, but it was not enough with SPU taking the win.
Saint Peter's looks to do much of the same heading into the weekend with the help of Luke Schwartz, as he had a great outing last week against Siena.
