OLEAN, N.Y.- The Saint Peter's women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net at St. Bonaventure on Sunday afternoon at the Marra Athletics Field Complex.
WHAT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF:
The Peacocks (0-1-0) started the game with ease and did not test the Bonnies (1-0-0) keeper until a shot was contested by senior defender
Wilma Thodhlana in the 27th minute.
Saint Peter's did not register a shot on goal until the second half, but they pressured the Bonnies with three corner kicks in the first half.
The lone goal of the game came in the 34th minute when Deanna Romero found Ava Reybitz who shot to the right of the goal to make it 1-0 for the Bonnies.
In the 44th minute, just before the half, Junior midfielder
Melissa Pires registered a shot attempt, but couldn't find the target.
At halftime the Bonnies led 5-3 on shots, while the Peacocks had the upper hand in corners, leading 3-1.
SECOND HALF:
Both the Peacock's shots on goal came from free kick set pieces. Sophomore forward
Mayla McLean had the first shot on goal attempt in the 57th minute. Just a few minutes later senior midfielder
Julia Pinho Magno saw Saint Peter's second shot on goal with a free kick just outside the box in the 62nd minute.
Bonnies had seven total shot attempts. Freshman goalkeeper
Lily Sarris recorded two saves. McLean and Thodhlana led the Peacocks in shots, each sharing a pair.

The Peacocks remain on the road and will head to Philadelphia to play Temple next Sunday, August, 23 at Temple Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
