Teaneck, NJ- The Peacocks took FDU to the wire, with no sign of backing down, in a 0-0 draw at Marcron Stadium today.
Saint Peter's had nine shots, four on goal, including one from team captain Samuel Rudjord. In addition, Sebastian Heredia-Randen who would add two saves to his stat line.
How it Happened
First Half-
The first half started strong for Saint Peter's, with Marcos De Elias getting a shot on goal that would go bottom left in the third minute that was saved by FDU. Followed by a Rudjord shot in the 19th minute that would go out to the right.
FDU would go on to make two substitutions late in the first half as they tried to shift the momentum of the match; two more shots would be attempted by the Peacocks from Darrel Etienne and Leo Coval.
Caleb Hughes would come on for De Elias in the middle of the 33rd minute as SPU tried to make a late push for a goal in the first half.
Hughes attempted a shot to the bottom center of the goal that was then saved by FDU towards the end of the half.
Second Half -
The Peacocks would make two more substitutions at the beginning of the second half, with Connall McErlain for Christian Ramirez and De Elias coming back onto the pitch for Hughes.
Both teams would get into some foul trouble, with FDU getting two out of the four calls, but that did not slow down SPU as McErlain and Rudjord had shots on goal between the 56th and the 62nd minute.
De Elais would try to snag a goal late in the game with a shot bottom left but was unable to get past FDU's goalkeeper.
FDU would then try to get a late answer with a shot in the 88th minute, with Herdia-Randen making the crucial save to ice the game at 0-0.
