JERSEY CITY, N.J.- The Saint Peter's women's soccer team will return to Jaroschack Field on Sunday, August 31, to take on the Le Moyne Dolphins at 12 p.m. ET.
The Peacocks (1-2) are coming off their first victory of the season, courtesy of sophomore forward
Mayla McLean's two goals against the LIU Sharks this past Wednesday. Freshman goalkeeper
Lily Sarris also had a stellar performance that included six saves, with one being a penalty save. The Peacocks will look to open up a win streak at home.
HISTORY WITH THE LE MOYNE DOLPHINS
Saint Peter's is 1-0 all-time against Le Moyne. The teams most recently faced off last season, where the Peacocks took away a 1-0 win in Syracuse, N.Y.
ABOUT THE LE MOYNE DOLPHINS
The Dolphins (0-5) are searching for their first win of the season. Their last contest resulted in a 0-2 loss at Saint Bonaventure. Le Moyne has scored just one goal in its last five games. That lone goal came from a freekick by Emma Sousa in a 1-2 loss against fellow Metro Conference member, Iona University, on Aug. 16.
Head coach Taylor Van Fleet is in her first year with the Dolphins. Van Fleet spent four seasons with Binghamton as an assistant coach. Van Fleet helped lead Binghamton to three AEC American East Conference season titles.
