FAIRFIELD, CONN- The Saint Peter's Peacocks (1-6-1) CONF. (0-1-1) will travel to Connecticut on Wednesday for a mid-week Metro Conference match-up against the reigning MAAC champions, the Sacred Heart Pioneers (6-2) CONF. (1-1) under the lights at 7:00 PM ET at Park Ave Field.
The Peacocks are coming off a 0-0 draw at Merrimack, and most recently a 2-3 loss against The Mount this past Saturday. They are looking for their first Metro win of the season.

HISTORY WITH THE SACRED HEART PIONEERS:
The Peacocks are 1-6-1 all-time against the Pioneers, with matches dating back to 2010. Their two previous matches were positive results for the Peacocks. In 2024, Saint Peter's tied the Pioneers 1-1.
Most recently, the Peacocks beat the Pioneers 2-1 at home last season in their final contest of the 2025 season. The Peacocks will look to create a win streak against Sacred Heart this Wednesday.
ABOUT THE SACRED HEART PIONEERS:
Sacred Heart is defending its MAAC championship title. The Pioneers started their 2026 contest in a positive manner, going 5-0 before Metro action began.
The Pioneers' last two games have been rocky. They dropped a non-conference battle 1-2 at Yale this past weekend and fell to Marist 2-3 last week to go 1-1 overall in Metro play. The Pioneers will look to get back into the win column with this mid-week Metro match-up.
Head Coach Matt Micros is in his ninth season with the Pioneers.
