KANSAS CITY, MO – Saint Peter's men's soccer assistant coach
Evan Brandsdorfer has been announced as a member of the United Soccer Coaches 2018-19 Class of the 30 Under 30 Program. The class featured 15 men and 15 women that were selected from a pool of nearly 400 applicants.
Brandsdorfer is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Saint Peter's men's soccer program. With him on the sidelines this season, the Peacocks have posted an 8-6-2 overall record and 5-2-1 in the MAAC, a mark that is currently fourth best. The eight overall wins and five MAAC wins are the most in a regular season for the program since 2010. Since Brandsdorfer joined the Peacock staff, the team has compiled 21 wins, eight more wins than the previous four years combined before his addition to the staff.
"This a great honor and opportunity for Evan," said head coach
Julian Richens. "It's a prestigious program that recognizes upcoming young coaches throughout the country. Evan is a promising, conscientious young coach who puts a lot of unseen preparation hours into his work. It's an ideal opportunity to continue his coaching education."
Launched in 2013, the 30 Under 30 Program is a year-long education and mentorship opportunity designed to support up-and-coming members of the coaching profession who are 30 years of age or younger.
Each member of the 30 Under 30 class receives an educational scholarship which provides registrations for the United Soccer Coaches Convention and an Advanced Diploma course of the coach's choosing, as well as a travel stipend to cover costs for attending these events. In addition, members of the 30 Under 30 Program are matched with a mentor dedicated to fostering their growth in the game and expanding their coaching network.
