EDISON, NJ – Barbara Paiva of the Saint Peter's women's soccer team has been named as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Female Student-Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office today.

Barbara Paiva led the Saint Peter's women's soccer team with three goals in the final week of the season. Paiva scored the game-winning goal against Iona in a 2-1 win to keep the Peacocks' playoff hopes alive. In the season finale, she scored both of the Saint Peter's goals in a 2-2 draw with Rider.
Behind Paiva, the Peacocks posted the program's most MAAC wins and points since 1998. She concluded her Saint Peter's career as the programs all-time leader in shot attempts, tied for first in shots on goal, ranked fifth in goals, tied for fifth in game-winning goals, and ranked eighth in points.
