JERSEY CITY, NJ – After a standout performance in Saint Peter's season finale–helping the Peacocks secure their first-ever win in program history against Sacred Heart–senior midfielder
Stella Accettola has been named the Jersey Mike's MAAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Accettola, a native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, closed out her Peacock career in storybook fashion, scoring both goals in the 2-1 victory over Sacred Heart. She notched her first two goals of the season in the finale, including the late game-winner in the 76th minute. Her effort capped a strong senior campaign in which she totaled eight points, marking a career year.
Across four seasons with Saint Peter's, Accettola logged over 1,700 minutes and appeared in more than 50 matches, serving as a steady presence in the midfield. She finished her career with four goals and eight assists and was a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team honoree.
