JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) today announced the 2018-19 men's basketball conference schedule.
The Saint Peter's men's basketball MAAC schedule opens up in the Yanitelli Center on Thursday, January 3 with a matchup against Siena. The Peacocks hit the road two days later for a date with hOURglass rival, Monmouth on Saturday, January 5 before traveling to Bridgeport, CT to meet Fairfield on Thursday, January 10. The next two games will be played in Jersey City, with the team welcoming Marist on Sunday, January 13 and Manhattan on Thursday, January 17.
The squad will spend the next two weeks on the road, playing a four-game stretch away from Jersey City. The road stint tips off in Western New York at Niagara on Tuesday, January 22, followed by a trip to Hamden, CT on Sunday, January 27 when the Peacocks visit the Quinnipiac Bobcats. The team returns to New Jersey closing out the Month of January with a clash against hOURglass rival, Rider on Thursday, January 31. The four-game road marathon concludes on Saturday, February 2 in Riverdale, NY at Manhattan College.
Three of the next four games will be played in the Yanitelli Center, beginning with the second season meeting against hOURglass rival Monmouth on Thursday, February 7. Canisius will be on the opposite side of the court on Sunday, February 10 in Jersey City, before the Peacocks travel over the Hudson River to New Rochelle, NY to tangle with three-time defending MAAC champion, Iona on Friday, February 15. The team returns to Jersey City just two days later for the second installment against hOURglass rival Rider on Sunday, February 17.
The Peacocks next two games will be played in Hudson Valley New York beginning on Tuesday, February 19 when the Peacocks make their way to the Times Union Center in Albany for a meeting with Siena and the trip concludes in Poughkeepsie at Marist on Friday, February 22.
The final three regular season games will be played at home for Saint Peter's. First, the Peacocks will take on Niagara on Sunday, February 24. Next, the team faces Quinnipiac on Friday, March 1. Finally, the Peacocks invite Fairfield on Sunday, March 3 to close out the regular season.
The Peacocks return to the Times Union Center in Albany, NY for the 2019 MAAC Basketball Championships, from March 7-11.
