EDISON, N.J. (Dec. 1, 2021) - Junior guard Daryl Banks III had a solid week for the Saint Peter's University men's basketball team, scoring double figures in both games for the Peacocks to be named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Banks III had a career day against Providence Saturday, scoring a career-high 26 points while going 9 for 16 from the floor. Banks III also reached double figures in Tuesday's win over LIU, scoring 10 points and adding four rebounds. This season, Banks III averages 11.5 points per game as he continues his ascent to being one of the top players in the MAAC.
A Preseason Second Team All-MAAC selection, Banks III ranks inside the top-20 in the league in points per game, steals per game, free throw percentage and 3-point field goals per game.
