Peacocks Place Program Record Five Student-Athletes on MAAC All-Academic Team

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's University men's basketball team placed a program record of five student-athletes on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team, announced by the league today. The Peacocks along with Fairfield each led the conference with its five representatives.
 
All five Saint Peter's members of the academic team were sophomores. The unit includes Daryl Banks III, Fousseyni Drame, Hassan Drame, Doug Edert, and Matthew Lee. Prior to this season, the most representatives by the program was three, done in 2014-15.

A total of 33 student-athletes were named to the 2020-21 MAAC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
