Leaderboard Roundup
  • Peters, like the rest of the field, had to battle through the rain on Sunday and Monday and despite those conditions still managed to birdie twice and head into Monday at five-over. He then birdied once on the front nine and then finished the tournament on a high with a birdie on 18 to card an even-par 72 and finish five-over 149.
  • Junior Melvin Morales was next on the Peacocks' leader board with a 12-over 156 for the tournament, but Morales' story of the weekend was his six-shot improvement on Monday. The junior finished 3-over 75 during the second round thanks to back-to-back birdies on the fifth and sixth holes and finished tied for 38th on the tournament.
  • One stroke back of Morales was redshirt sophomore Jimmy Apostolico, who enjoyed his finest outing of the spring with a 13-over 157. He was remarkably consistent all weekend long, going 78-79 to earn a tie for 45th on the leader board. He birdied four times for the tournament, with three coming in the opening round.
  • Freshman Adam Varela finished in a tie for 60th after carding a 19-over 163 over the weekend thanks to three birdies on Monday, while redshirt sophomore Caleb Rossi rounded out the Saint Peter's contingent in 65th place thanks to a 22-over 166. He enjoyed the best Day 2 improvement of any Peacock for the tournament after improving by 10 strokes on Monday with a six-over 78.
Up Next
  • Saint Peter's concludes the regular season portion of the spring next Sunday (April 18) when it heads to Hellertown, Pennsylvania, for the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational hosted by Lafayette at the Steel Club. The two-day tournament concludes on Monday.
