Track & Field Concludes Peacock Outdoor Invitational

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Saint Peter's track and field teams returned to Lincoln Park late Wednesday afternoon for the continuation of the Peacock Outdoor Invitational. Looking to build off of their Day 1 team victories, both sides came away with several tremendous individual performances. 

Top Performances: Men

• The 4x400 once again belonged to Saint Peter's. The quartet of freshmen Devon Bembridge and Delano Gooden, and sophomores Clardo Nestor and Michael Conover won the race in 3:21.54.
• Bembridge, Conover and Nestor were also in the 800 meters and swept spots 2-4, with each breaking two minutes. Conover was the first to cross in 1:56.57, Bembridge followed in 1:58.52 and Nestor rounded it out by coming in at 1:58.65. Bembridge's time was a second faster than what he ran at the Metropolitan Championship.
• In a field of 40 competitors, sophomore Jarrett Gentles was runner-up in the 200 meter dash, finishing in 22.85 seconds. Freshman teammates Judeson Mirac and Gooden also competed in the event. Mirac crossed the finish line in fourth place with a time of 22.98 seconds and Gooden finished sixth in 23.09 seconds.
• Mirac also made his collegiate debut in the 100 meter dash and earned a top-five placement in a field of over 25 competitors. He clocked in at 11.48 seconds. Graduate student Brandon Campbell was right there with him as he came in at 11.53 seconds and freshman Ola Porbeni followed at 11.56.
• Redshirt sophomore Rayshawn Johnson was runner-up in the 110 meter hurdles and set a new personal record for himself with a time of 15.08 seconds. The time moves him into fourth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). 

Top Performances: Women

• Freshman Abigail Vital continued her remarkable rookie season on Wednesday by winning the 100 meter hurdles in 15.38 seconds. She also participated in the 200 meters. In a field of over 25 competitors, she took third place in 27.13 seconds.
• The women's team also took the 4x400 meter relay event with a time of 4:23.74. The quartet began with sophomores Tola Osipitan and Kaylah Davis, followed by junior Lovely Francois, and anchored by freshman Ayanna Page.
• Osipitan also made her first appearance in the 800 meters and took a top-five placement with a time of 2:36.04.
• Redshirt sophomore Lorretta Owoh again won the triple jump and set a PR for herself by jumping for 11.25 meters. The distance is currently fourth-best in the MAAC thus far. 
• Fellow freshman Reyanna Henderson was also in the 200 meters and took a top-10 placement with a time of 28.27 seconds. 
• Sophomore Alexis Peterson earned a top-five finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.54 seconds.
