Dominic Laws and senior captain
Jordan Jowers have earned All-MAAC honors once again, as both players have been named to the 2020-21 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Soccer All-MAAC Team, as announced by the league office this morning. Additionally, Laws has been named the 2020-21 MAAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year, as voted on by the conference's head coaches.
"It is an outstanding achievement for both the players and the program," said Saint Peter's head coach
Julian Richens. "Jordan has consistently been named as all-conference in all his four years here. His statistics and performances speak for themselves and has been the focal point for our attack." Richards continued, "To be named as the Offensive Player of the Year two hyears running is pretty special. Dom has scored goals, added assists to his game, and can do a bit of everything the modern day center forward needs to do. They have both led by example on and off the field and have been a credit to themselves and our program."
Laws is now the first Peacock in program history to earn back-to-back Player of the Year honors, after receiving the award following the 2019 season. The senior is also just the second player in MAAC history to accomplish the feat, joining Loyola's Jamie Darvill, who won the award in both the 2008 and 2009 season.
