Melvin Morales earned an 11th-place finish in Saint Peter's men's golf's opening tournament of 2022, the South Jersey Spring Kick at the Shore Gate Golf Club.
It's the second consecutive tournament that the Humacao, Puerto Pico native was the highest finisher for the Peacocks.

- Morales was also tied for 11th-place after the opening round, but improved his second round total by three strokes to stay toward the top of the field.
- Senior Caleb Rossi moved up two positions in the second round to finish the tournament 18th, shooting 79 (+7) on Sunday after an 82 (+10) first round.
- Senior Jimmy Apostolico tied for 15th after the first round by shooting 80 (+8) on Saturday. He finished tied for 21st with 82 (+10) in the second round.
- Sophomore Antonio Conde Ortega dropped five strokes off his second round total to shoot 80 (+8) on Sunday and finish in 28th for the tournament.
- Sophomore Adam Varela saw action for the third time this season, finishing in 37th by shooting 179 (+35).
Next Up
The Peacocks continue their spring slate in late March at Iona's Battle of Rum Pointe. The two-day tournament gets underway on Saturday, March 26 at the Pointe Seaside Links in Berlin, Md.
