LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Senior
Melvin Morales charged up the leaderboard into third place at the 2022 MAAC Men's Golf Championships after a stellar second round on Saturday at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course, shooting two-under 72.
Saint Peter's also moved up two spots to sixth place in the team score thanks to the efforts of Morales and sophomore Antonio Conde Ortega, who improved by eight strokes from round one to round two to shoot an even par.

- Morales, who previously earned a top-10 finish at the MAAC Championships in 2019, improved by four strokes from the first round to the second round to score the second-best round of the day (-2). He tallied five birdies and shot at least par on 16 of the 18 holes. He sits five strokes back of the leader and one stroke back of second place.
- Senior Caleb Rossi shot a 76 (+4) second round and is in a tie for 22nd place with a score of 151 (+7) heading into the final round.
- Conde moved up 10 spots on the leaderboard to 28th thanks to his even-par second round – which was the seventh-best score of the day.
- Senior Jimmy Apostolico shot a seven-over 72 second round. His score after two rounds is 153 (+9) and he sits in a tie for 31st.
- Freshman Pablo Alvarez improved by three strokes from the first to the second round, currently in a tie for 35th with a score of 157 (+13).
